Drawing on his tenure at esteemed estates like Saxum and James Berry, Pecchenino has assembled a profile of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, bolstered by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. After aging for a year in 35% new French oak, the resulting mountain wine offers an alluring bouquet of dusty earth and bright red fruits, accented by a distinct note of herbal cedar.
The wine maintains a refined, mid-weight structure on the palate, striking a perfect balance between elegance and intensity. Its firm mountain tannins are complemented by a refreshing, cranberry-like acidity that leads into a complex finish of graphite, dark berries, and wild chaparral.
